5-Amino-1-methylquinolin-1-ium (5-Amino-1MQ) is a selective small-molecule inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT), a cytosolic enzyme that methylates nicotinamide and related analogs using S-adenosylmethionine (SAM) as the methyl donor. Formula C10H11N2+ (cation); molecular weight 159.21 g/mol (cation). Typically supplied as the iodide or chloride salt.
