Description
NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide; CAS No. 53-84-9) is a coenzyme found in all living cells. It exists in an oxidized form (NAD+) and a reduced form (NADH) and acts as an electron acceptor in metabolic pathways including glycolysis and the citric acid cycle. NAD+ is also the co-substrate of sirtuins, a class of NAD+-dependent deacylase enzymes.
